We believe that our biblical role is to work in conjunction with the home to mold students to be Christ-like by instilling a biblical worldview and teaching biblical principles throughout the instructional curriculum and extra-curricular activities. On those occasions in which the atmosphere or conduct within a particular home is counter to or in opposition to the biblical lifestyle, the school reserves the right, within its sole discretion, to refuse admission of an applicant or to discontinue enrollment of a student. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, living in, condoning, or supporting sexual immorality; homosexual behavior; promoting such practices; or otherwise the inability to support the moral principles of the school. (Leviticus 20:13a, Romans 1:27, Matthew 19:4-6) W
Westminster Christian Academy reserves the right to refuse admittance or to discontinue enrollment of a student whose needs cannot be adequately met through the existing academic structure and programming of the school. Westminster Christian Academy has an advanced, fast-moving curriculum. We have found that the combination of small classes, good teachers, and committed parents allows our students to advance more quickly each year than national averages. In order to be qualified for admittance to the school, incoming students in the elementary and intermediate must show a demonstrated capacity for academic progress, and, in older students, a history of academic success. Not every student will benefit from the same academic program. While we endeavor to use a variety of teaching strategies to help all of our students learn quickly and well, we also realize not every student will do well in our particular program. Our assessment tools are designed to help ensure that we can provide a good resource for each family and child, and place our students into a position for success.
Bay Area Presbyterian Church is excited to be a part of the Clear Lake community and counts it a privilege to offer strong, relevant support and ministry to local families. God has given us a particular heart for supporting families by providing programs of excellence for their children. To this end, our church founded Westminster Christian Academy as a resource for Christian families seeking strong academic programming and spiritual training for their elementary-aged children. Then, in response to the need among local families to have a safe, positive, academically focused learning environment for their children ages 18 months to 4 years, we established WCA’s Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC). This program is structured to have a broader outreach into the community. Therefore, unlike the Academy, children are eligible for enrollment in the ECEC even if Christianity is not the professed and practiced faith of the child’s family.
The Admissions area of our website is designed to make the application process as simple as possible using our Online Application. We require families to apply online as it simplifies submission and provides parents a tool for tracking online the status of their admission after their application has been submitted.
To begin the Online Application process you must first Create an Account.
Then log into your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.
After submitting the application, you will be able to track your admissions status at the school by logging into your account. There you will be able to print the completed applications, monitor when the school receives supplemental application forms, and if necessary reprint the supplemental forms.
The Application Process also includes submission of the following required documentation. These documents may be uploaded with the online application, emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or delivered to the school:
Proper completion of the application process (submission of the application, fee, and all required documentation) does not guarantee placement in the Preschool program. The application process initiates assessment by the WCA Admissions Team to determine if the appropriate class has openings.
If placement is found for your child, you will be notified and given instructions for Online Enrollment via the online ParentsWeb system to finalize the admissions process. To secure your child’s spot, Online Enrollment must be completed by 10 business days from the date of notification, including payment of the enrollment fee.
If placement in a classroom is not found for your child, you will be notified. You may request to be put on a Temporary Waiting List to be contacted if a place becomes available during the 2017-2018 school year.
Westminster Christian Academy reserves the right to fill class openings at its discretion.
Westminster Christian Academy is committed to bringing our students the highest academic experience with small classes in a committed Christian environment. This commitment is costly, but we believe that the rewards will be reaped by our students and by God’s church as a whole as we send out graduates prepared to serve God and declare the good news in all manner of future vocations. We hope all interested families will consider the experiences and preparation their children will receive within our walls.
